Find Your Perfect Wine Tasting in Central NJ

Which Old York Cellars Wine Tasting Experience is Perfect for You?

Traditional wine tastings not your style? At Old York Cellars, you can taste wine the way you want.

Sit down for a guided tasting in one of our tasting rooms. Explore a self-guided tasting at your table while listening to live music or taking in the vineyard and Sourland Mountain views. Discover wine alongside chocolate, charcuterie or tapas. Or take food and wine pairing all the way through a five-course or 14-course dinner.

From quick classic flights to immersive multi-course food and wine experiences, tailor your visit to your taste.

The Traditional: Guided Wine Tastings

Sometimes traditional is exactly what you want.

Our Guided Wine Tastings offer the classic winery experience. A member of the Old York Cellars team takes you through a selection of wines, introducing each wine and helping you explore different varietals, styles and flavors.

Guided tastings take place in our tasting rooms and generally last about 20 to 30 minutes. They are ideal for first-time visitors, New Jersey wine newcomers, or anyone simply enjoying learning more about what is in their glass.

And when the tasting is over, your visit doesn’t have to be.

Stay for Chef José’s Spanish-inspired cuisine, grab a table under our Vineyard Tent and listen to live music, or relax with a glass or bottle of your favorite wine in one of our vineyard cabanas. A guided tasting can be the beginning of an afternoon or evening at Old York Cellars, not the entire visit.

At Your Own Pace: Self-Guided Wine Tastings

Want to spend more time with the wines and less time following a tasting schedule?

Choose a self-guided tasting and enjoy it right at your table. Each wine is accompanied by a QR code you can scan to learn more about what you’re tasting.

There’s no need to move through the wines at anyone else’s pace. Compare them. Go back to a favorite. Talk about them with friends. Order some food. Listen to live music. Or simply sit back and take in the vineyard and Sourland Mountain views.

It transforms a standard tasting into a relaxed, lingering afternoon at the vineyard.

Something Sweet: Wine & Chocolate

Wine and chocolate have a way of changing each other.

Our Wine & Chocolate Pairing lets you taste Old York Cellars wines alongside chocolates selected to complement them. The combinations can highlight flavors and characteristics you might not notice when tasting the wine or chocolate separately.

It’s an easy way to start exploring food and wine pairing and a good choice when you want something more than a standard tasting without committing to a full meal.

Something Savory: Wine & Charcuterie

Prefer savory to sweet?

Our Wine & Charcuterie Pairing puts Old York Cellars wines alongside cheeses, meats and accompaniments selected to create different flavor combinations.

Try the wine on its own. Try it with the food. Then taste it again.

You may be surprised by how much what’s on the plate can change what you notice in the glass.

Bring in the Kitchen: Wine & Tapas

This is where tasting starts moving toward dining.

Our Wine & Tapas Pairing combines Old York Cellars wines with small plates from Chef José’s kitchen. Instead of simply tasting several wines, you get to experience how they work alongside different flavors, ingredients and dishes.

It’s wine tasting with a little more time at the table and a lot more food.

Make It Dinner: Five-Course Wine Pairing

If you want wine and food to share equal billing, move from a tasting to a Five-Course Wine Pairing Dinner.

Chef José’s courses are paired with Old York Cellars wines, giving you a chance to experience a series of different combinations over the course of dinner.

Outdoor wine and food pairing at Old York Cellars in Ringoes, NJ featuring gourmet dishes including Spanish‑style omelet, saffron rice, grilled salmon, and lamb chop, paired with glasses of red and white wine. The elegant patio setting highlights Central NJ wine and dining experiences.

Rather than tasting a wine for a few minutes and moving on, you experience it where wine has traditionally been meant to be enjoyed: at the table, with food.

Go All the Way: The 14-Course Wine Pairing Dinner

Then there’s our most extensive food and wine experience.

The 14-Course Wine Pairing Dinner takes you through a progression of dishes from Chef José’s kitchen paired with wines from Old York Cellars.

Fourteen courses give us room to explore different wines, foods, flavors and pairing combinations over the course of an evening.

If a traditional wine tasting gives you an introduction to a winery’s wines, the 14-course experience lets you spend an evening with them.

So, Which Wine Tasting Is for You?

Maybe you want someone to guide you through the wines.

Maybe you’d rather taste at your own pace with friends, live music and vineyard views.

Maybe chocolate sounds better. Or charcuterie. Or tapas.

And maybe you want to skip the tasting flight entirely and explore Old York Cellars wines over five or 14 courses.

That’s the point.

There’s no single right way to taste wine at Old York Cellars. Choose the experience that sounds right for you.

Nestled in Ringoes, New Jersey—close to Flemington, Lambertville, New Hope, and Princeton, and just about an hour from New York City and Philadelphia—Old York Cellars welcomes you to plan a visit and explore our wine tastings, food and wine pairings, and signature dining experiences.
