Fundraising Fundraiser Fridays

Our Fundraiser Fridays offer any team, troop, society, club or any other non-profit organization a unique opportunity to invite supporters and their families to the winery for a special evening of wine, music and food.

Select Fridays 6 – 9 pm starting Friday, April 11th

10% of all proceeds from people coming to the fundraiser WITH a copy of the promotional flyer (hard copy or digital)

10% for custom label wines & $5 per bottle to group day of the event

Work with our OYC Fundraiser Coordinator:

Book the event on one of our designated Fridays

Share your Tax ID info, contact info (name, email & phone #),

The Coordinator will provide a flyer to use to promote the event

  • Promote the food, Music in the Tent, Prix Fixe Dinners in Vista, etc.

Work with the fundraiser coordinator to insure you’re e promoting the event & go through the day of requirements

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN FUNDRAISER FRIDAYS

Must be a non-profit/501-c (3)/tax-exempt organization Must be able to provide the necessary Tax ID verifying non-profit status Fundraiser Fridays are limited to guest who come in on a Friday WITH a digital or paper copy of the event flyer (provided to organization by use at least 2 weeks in advance)

FUNDRAISER FRIDAY POLICIES

Old York Cellars will donate 10% of any check on your specific day (excluding tax and gratuity) that is accompanied by a valid Fundraiser Friday flyer for your group/organization.

Guests may dine in, or takeout food for the fundraiser.  As long as they have a flyer with them, their donation will be counted! Fundraiser Fridays are hosted on select Fridays throughout the year ONLY.

Only a valid Fundraiser Friday flyer will be counted for donation. Flyers must be distributed prior to the event night. 

You may NOT distribute flyers as guests arrive at the winery.  This includes standing outside the vineyard entrance, at concierge or inside any of the venues.   If your organization distributes flyers during your event, no funds will be donated and your event will be canceled. 

The winery will not supply additional flyers on the day your event is hosted.

KEYS TO A SUCCESSFUL DINING TO DONATE EVENT

Schedule at Least 4 Weeks in Advance

Contact our Fundraiser Friday Specialist and schedule your event at least four (4) weeks in advance.  Four weeks provides you an ample amount of time to properly promote your event to your staff, supporters, friends & family.

Print the Official Handout
Once your Fundraiser Friday date is confirmed, a promotional flyer will be e-mailed to you for distribution both by print and digitally. This is the only flyer that will be accepted as valid for the event. 

E-mail Blast E-mailing the Fundraiser Friday flyer to your supporters is the quickest and easiest way to create buzz and generate interest in your event.  Attach the file to your e-mail and instruct those on your mailing list to print it out or save it to their files on their phone. 

Utilize the power of Social Media In addition to distributing and e-mailing flyers, posting on any number of social media platforms is a quick and easy way to spread the message.  Encourage people to “like”, “share” and “repost” for a greater reach.  DON’T FORGET to include a copy of your flyer.  Remember, all guests MUST have a printed or digital copy of the flyer with them and distributing flyers on property is strictly prohibited.

Give Reminders 48 Hours Before the Event Two days before your Fundraiser Friday, we recommend to send a reminder to your supporters.  This should include a resend of the flyer either as an image in a text or an attachment in an email.

Encourage Supporters to Bring Friends.  Larger parties at the winery is an easy way to double…or even triple your donation totals.    

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How much money will I raise?

A: The average check at the winery is about $40 per person.  10% of a $40 check translates into a $4.00 donation.  You can estimate your total by dividing your monetary goal by 4.0.  For example, if $250 is your donation goal, you need 63 people (250/$4) to attend your event.  Please note that this method is only a way of estimating your total.

Q: When will I receive my check?

A: Your check will be directly mailed to the address you provided to the Friday Fundraiser coordinator within four to six weeks of your event date.

Q: My event was a success!  Can I do it again?

A: Of course!  You can schedule another event at the winery if there are dates still available.

Q: What kind of purchases can be applied to the fundraiser?

A: Any wine, food & merchandise* purchases made onsite the day of the fundraiser accompanied with the flyer will be counted towards the fundraiser.  *Gift card purchases, however, cannot be counted with the 10% fundraiser flyer earnings. You may however, use a gift card as a form of payment.
