While the media painted a glamorous picture of his improbable victory, and poker set the world on fire and became truly mainstream, the long-term aftermath was slightly less glamorous for Moneymaker.

"Chris is one of the most underrated poker players I know. Many people think that he was just lucky to win back inbut he understands poker well, has worked hard at his game and he is a very good player."
